New iMac i7 Quad Core arriving dead or with cracked screens

There's no evidence yet as to why this is happening, but Apple is replacing the faulty units with a lead time of 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive.

Some speculate that packaging is the culprit, but no i5 Quad Core models of the new iMac have reportedly been damaged or D.O.A.  Hopefully this isn't a problem that will persist for Apple or consumers.
