New iMacs now available

They came sooner that I expected since the rumors began.

The new iMacs are updated with Thunderbolt ports, updated graphics and processors.  Processor speeds begin at 2.5GHz and go up to 3.4GHz.  The graphics card has up to 2GB of GDDR5 video memory.

The only thing lacking is USB 3, but my understanding is that the built-in architecture won't be ready for USB 3 until next year's newer chip architecture.  That's kind of a let-down but not a major one.

Now if someone would make a Thunderbolt interfaced LTO-5 backup tape drive this would be the perfect machine for me.
