I've been doing an unusually large number of Windows XP work lately, much to my dismay. When I get home hours later, I tell my wife "Blame Bill Gates". He's an easy scapegoat. Hey, I'm not a Windows guy, but come on already! Why does it have to be so difficult?
So I was installing a printer on an XP Home Edition system. The printer is connected to an Airport Extreme Base Station. Enter Bonjour for Windows.
The installation wasn't going well. The printer wasn't communicating with the computer even though I had all the settings duplicated from the old drive. After a quick Google search, I downloaded and installed Bonjour for Windows. The printer showed up immediately and I was done.
I'm glad that Apple is thinking about everything. It made my job a lot easier.
