Apple updates software, releases firmware updates

Over the past couple of days, Apple has released updates for its iLife suite of applications along with updates for its iWork suite of applications.

In addition to that, firmware updates for the Xserve, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac and iPhone were released today.

Not all updates are applicable to every computer model, so proceed carefully with any updates.  For safety's sake, especially when performing major updates such as firmware updates, you should back up ALL of your data before proceeding.

It's best to wait a few days to see if there are any problems with the currently available updates.  As I always say, if it's working OK, it can wait.
